Katy Trail Bike Ride

Our Trip

It took us a total of 8 days to ride our bicycles across Missouri on the Katy Trail. The longest day was 54 miles and the shortest day was 16 miles. In addition to the long miles during the day, we also camped 5 out of the 7 nights! Our total mileage for the Katy Trail was 257.3 miles. Then we had to ride an additional 58.5 miles back to Washington, Missouri to catch our ride back to Springfield area! Total mileage for the entire trip was 315.8 miles.

We survived!

This trip was a test of many things: our stamina, our patience, and our marriage, just to name a few. We did survive and we’d ride the Katy Trail again!

The Katy Trail is the longest rails to trails in the USA. Here’s some statistics on the Katy Trail and other rails to trails.
